Stephen Chavez brings incredible energy and experience to help clients with public outreach, media relations, and policymaker support. Throughout his career, Stephen has represented government, nonprofit and corporate clients. His government-related experiences include handling media relations and public outreach for the City of Pico Rivera, City of Carson, City of Pasadena, California Department of Health Services, and the National Institutes of Health.

Stephen serves as President of the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA)/Los Angeles Chapter and as a Board Member with the Public Relations Society of America, LA Chapter.

As a former reporter with the Los Angeles Times and The Morning Call daily newspapers, he understands what is newsworthy about a project and how to best tell the client’s story.

Stephen is a highly skilled writer, presenter, and team leader. He has created and managed award-winning public relations programs, securing high profile media coverage from both general market and Spanish-language media. Stephen leverages Hispanic cultural insights and his influential network to help brands effectively connect with the growing Latino marketplace.

Stephen earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism at the University of La Verne, where today he teaches public relations and social media courses as an Adjunct Professor.
